Leather is a natural animal material. Leather products offer durability and longevity, as they are not only made to last but soften and gain character with age. They have used remnant leathers to create this style. By liaising closely with their makers, they are able to use up discarded leathers from either ELK or other brands' production, ensuring it does not go to waste. The remnant leather for this style was sourced from a Leather Working Group (LWG) rated tannery. LWG assesses tanneries on their water use, energy use, waste management, chemical management and traceability; among other key indicators. The tannery that processed this leather has a Gold rating from LWG.

To maintain the beauty of your ELK bag we recommend protective sprays and using a good quality leather conditioner to treat the product, which will increase its longevity. Do not put leather pieces on the ground or rub against abrasive surfaces. Leather is a natural material and will wear with age and use. The dye in the leather can sometimes rub off so please be aware of this when wearing light clothing or placing the leather item on light surfaces.
