Akarteks are an innovative Turkish denim manufacturer with facilities in Istanbul and Tokat, who we have been working with since 2021.

Founded in 1985, Akarteks are reducing their environmental impact through investment in new technologies. By implementing eco-friendly wash systems, they have been able to save up to 97.5% of water during the washing process.

As members of both Sedex and Amfori, the factories undertake regular social compliance audits, and have also completed the Higg Index Facility Environmental Module.

99% Organic Cotton 1% Elastane

This cotton denim is strong and durable, with a classic denim look.

Certified organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers or hazardous pesticides, which protects biodiversity and waterways and builds and maintains soil fertility. Cotton is a renewable and biodegradable fibre.

The organic cotton for this fabric was sourced from Turkey.
